How We Work

At Yass Valley OT we work with you to help build more confidence and understanding.

  • Our first step is an initial consultation appointment with our Occupational Therapist. Over two sessions we will chat about your needs and explore how we can help. From there, we can make some recommendations and discuss which of our services might be the best fit for you.

  • Our regular therapy sessions run across each school term.  Ongoing support varies based on need and availability.  This can include individual sessions, small peer groups, parent support/ coaching, after school groups, or perhaps a whole new approach to working together.  Sessions can also be in person, via email, video or telehealth or a combination of delivery methods based on need.  We encourage families to participate in their child’s therapy as much as possible.

We have a range of spaces available to us for different activities, which you can see below.

  • A chance to spend some fun time with other kids after school and play games, have a snack, or just hang out.

  • We offer parent coaching, school meetings, and assistance with community participation.
